Lily Allen's Album - Will the Grammys recognize her for Album of the Year?

As the Grammy nominations grow closer, I know there are numerous artists vying for the coveted Album of the Year. I normally try to not pay too much attention to what the Grammys think cause music comes in many different tastes and styles for every individual's liking. However, I am giving my two cents here by boasting about Lily Allen's It's Not Me, It's You album (released last February) and hoping it gets recognized as one of the Albums of the Year when the nominations are announced. Considering her self implosion on British tabloids, Allen does have a knack for honest, raw lyrics to represent social mindsets in our day in age. For example, she talks about society's expectations on young women with her song "22", materialism on "The Fear", war on "F**K You" and even the ups and downs of sex on "Not Fair".

And FYI - the troubled 24-year Brit pop star announced a few weeks ago she would no longer be recording records and leaving her record contract at EMI. Considering her tabloidish behaviors in the past, perhaps this may be another one of Allen's tryst with the tabloids. If it is true, then it would be quite a shame.

Here are two other songs from her current album:
